The VASWCD 2025 Photo Contest is open! The VASWCD is committed to conservation of natural resources through stewardship and education programs and we want to see it through your eyes.

The theme this year is

“Virginia's Charm: Capture Conservation”

Capture those vibrant moments and express what conservation looks like to you!​

The VASWCD Photo Contest is open from January through August 1, 2025. You can submit up to 10 photos.  All photographs must be taken within the Commonwealth of Virginia. Photographs taken outside the state of Virginia will be disqualified.

Congratulations to Elliot Gilfix on achieving Overall Winner of the 2024 VASWCD Photo Contest with their stunning photograph, “Red Columbine under Natural Bridge.” Captured in the Natural Bridge Soil & Water Conservation District service area of Rockbridge County, Elliot’s image embodies the precious natural resources of Virginia and the 2024 theme, “Conservation Across the Commonwealth.”
